Oddero: 4 Great Barolos, a Great Vintage, and Direct Allocation
Barolo follows the same virtues as Burgundy, creating exciting prospects...
We have said it before, and we are happy to say it again: Barolo is an excellent investment. The quality is outstanding, and the virtues we recognize from Burgundy are proudly practiced here.
This is your opportunity to invest in Barolo, specifically in the outstanding 2021 vintage from Poderi e Cantine Oddero – and even through direct allocation.
Mapping and Classification of Barolo
Barolo is a small region with just under 2,000 hectares of vineyards and around 1,000 growers. In comparison, Burgundy has approximately 29,500 hectares of vineyards. Despite its small size, Barolo is gaining ground on the global scene for exclusive wines.
This is, of course, because the best producers in Barolo create world-class wines. However, the increasing attention is also due to the meticulous vineyard mapping and classification efforts since 2010 – similar to what has been done in Burgundy.
By mapping the vineyards, Barolo has provided transparency regarding the origin of its wines, creating a strong foundation for growing interest. The region is relatively small but offers significant nuances across its various sub-regions.
Poderi e Cantine Oddero | Centuries of Tradition Meet Modern Winemaking
Poderi e Cantine Oddero is one of Piedmont’s most historic wineries, with roots dating back to the late 18th century. Since then, the Oddero name has been synonymous with exceptionally high quality. From their cellars in La Morra, the Oddero family—led by Isabella and Pietro, the seventh generation of winemakers—crafts wines with soul, passion, and depth, always with great respect for the region’s unique terroir. They combine time-honored knowledge with modern production techniques.
With 35 hectares of vineyards in the heart of Langhe, Oddero produces some of Piedmont’s finest wines: powerful and elegant Barolo, sophisticated Barbaresco, and characterful Barbera and Nebbiolo. Each bottle tells the story of generations dedicated to quality and craftsmanship.
Four Majestic Cuvées, Directly from Oddero’s Estate
Oddero has truly maximized the potential of the 2021 vintage. The four Barolos available for investment have only been reviewed by the Italian wine specialist Vinous, receiving between 96 and 98 points.

RareWine Invest’s Opinion
We have long focused on Barolo because it offers world-class wines at prices that still appeal to a broad audience.
Here, we are looking at four cuvées that represent the very best Barolo has to offer – four wines in extremely limited supply. And because we have secured direct allocation from Oddero, you have the opportunity to invest at particularly favorable prices.
With the classification and mapping of vineyards in Barolo, consumers now have a transparent view of wine origins – just as in Burgundy. However, Barolo is a significantly smaller region with much lower production volumes, making it an even more compelling investment opportunity.
