Welcome onboard, Albin Ekdal! Swedish National Team football player joins RareWine Invest
Swedish National Team football player Albin Ekdal joins RareWine's brand ambassador team to foster awareness about wine investment in the Nordics.
With over 60 caps for Sweden, plus 200 games and counting in the Italian Serie A, Albin Ekdal is a well-established name in the football world.
Most people may have yet to learn that Albin Ekdal has a passion for fine wine, leading him to invest in wine through RareWine Invest. Not only is Albin Ekdal investing in wine, but he also accepted the role of brand ambassador for RareWine Invest.
"Using sincere representatives with the same ambition and values as our company means we can reach a broader audience. We have already seen the effects of that with our other brand ambassadors. We are very proud that Albin Ekdal has agreed to become the first Swede to represent our investment branch," states Lars Granat Jensen, CMO at RareWine Group.
Swedish Country Manager for RareWine Invest in Stockholm, Alexander Emerén, is looking forward to taking the next steps in raising awareness of wine investment in the Nordics.
"Alternative investments are winning more recognition these years. Since we opened our Stockholm office just 2 years ago, more than 300 Swedish clients have invested in wine through RareWine Invest. Interest is stronger than ever as more people fancy low-risk investments these years."
Soon Albin Ekdal will feature in advertising and commercials from RareWine Invest, with the first piece being released today:
Besides being a well-known personality in his home country, Albin Ekdal, has spent over 10 years in Italy, representing clubs such as Juventus, Sampdoria, Cagliari, Bologna, Siena, and most recently, Spezia in the Italian Serie A. Italy has become the second home of Albin Ekdal and his family.
"We will also see a slight spillover effect in Italy when Albin Ekdal features in our commercials. That will raise awareness about RareWine Invest in Italy and benefit our Milan-based office," comments Rune Spliid, commercial director at RareWine Invest.
Besides spending most of his career in Italy, Albin Ekdal enjoyed a spell at cult team Hamburger SV in the German Bundesliga from 2015 to 2018. The career took off from an early age, leaving IF Brommapojkarna in his teen years.
Mikkel Hansen, named the World's best handball player three times, became the first brand ambassador for RareWine Invest in 2021. He was later followed by one of the World's best cyclists, Magnus Cort, and later Danish national team football player and fan-favorite Joakim Mæhle from Atalanta.
RareWine Group was established in 2006 in Denmark and includes one of the World's most prominent fine wine trading companies, RareWine Trading. In 2016 the investment branch was officially launched, and since the beginning, RareWine Invest has manifested its position as one of the leading wine investment companies globally.
