+49-57 % Return On Sublime Salon. Invest In The 2008 Vintage In A Special Oenotheque Case
Exclusive collector's item can be yours. Salon is synonymous with massive investment potential, and as many as four vintages can be yours here, including the 2008 vintage.
“In short, this is a Blanc de Blancs that admits no argument.”
- Wine Advocate
It is hard to be humble when the Salon bottles are on the agenda. At RareWine Invest, we rarely hide our Salon enthusiasm, and the superlatives just keep coming. The Salon is an investment case that we have recommended on many occasions, delivering solid returns to investors.
But the investment opportunity that excites us this time is a very special one. An opportunity loaded with high ratings as well as exclusiveness, which is backed up by double-digit returns across Salon's previous vintages.
Salon is (thankfully) available for investment again. And even in the legendary 2008 vintage, which was only released in Salon's so-called Oenotheque case...
2008 Salon Limited Edition Oenotheque Case: Magnum In Extremely Limited And Exclusive Quantities
Quantities of Salon are already limited. However, this did not prevent Salon President Didier Depond from further reducing the number of bottles released on the long-awaited 2008 vintage of Salon Cuvée "S". Production was limited to just 8,000 bottles, and they were only produced on magnum.
Apparently, this was not exclusive enough. The only 8,000 Salon Cuvée "S" on magnum were released in September 2019 - as part of a Collector's Case entitled: 2008 Salon Limited Edition Oenotheque Case. The case contains a magnum bottle of 2008 Salon Cuvée "S" as well as 2x vintage 2004, 2006 and 2007 in regular bottles of the same wine. And it is this case that you now have the opportunity to invest in.
Sensational Salon: Here Is Only The Best Good Enough
In the exclusive Champagne arena, Salon is one of the strongest contenders. A key reason for Salon's popularity is that Salon Cuvée "S" is only produced in the very best vintages. This of course means that Salon guarantees ultimate Champagne quality time after time.
Here, we are even dealing with an exclusive collector's case, containing several different vintages from the sublime Salon.
This Is How Salon Saw The First Rays Of The Day - And Thank You For That
At the beginning of the last century, Eugéne-Aime Salon decided to experiment with the production of Champagne. No one could question his level of ambition, even though his primary goal was to produce excellent Champagne for himself and his loved ones. In 1905, Eugéne succeeded in presenting a vintage Champagne made exclusively from Chardonnay, something the world had never seen before.
This is where the term Blanc-de-blancs originates from, and it would turn out that the visionary and ambitious Eugéne cracked the Champagne code.
Uncompromising Quality And Stubbornness Have Taken Salon To The Top
Eugéne Salon put all his efforts into producing magical Champagne, and he never compromised on quality, which is why the quantities were often very limited and only just enough to satisfy the immediate circle of friends.
In the 1920s, Salon began selling Champagne in the most festive places in Paris, places that Eugéne himself frequently visited. In the stronghold of the elite in the city of cities, Salon was drunk with great pleasure. Eugéne Salon was uncompromising, and therefore, Salon was only released when quality permitted. And so, it remains to this day. Even though Laurent-Perrier is the owner of Salon today.
The history of the salon is magical, which is why it deserves more attention. That is why you can read a more detailed description right here.
QUA-LI-TY
The salon will delight the majority. Consistently high scores underline, why they are among the world's best Champagne houses. The 2008 vintage takes the lead with 2 x 100 points and a score of 99.3 across all critics.
The 2004, 2006 and 2007 vintages score 96.8, 95.8 and 95.5 respectively across the most significant critics. The Oenotheque box is a unique collector's item in its own right, and it even only contains Salon with sublime scores.

Two Years With 2008 Salon: We Are At The Foot Of The Mountain
As with any new, hyped Champagne release, quantities are in short supply, and the fear of missing out is intense. This can result in prices being traded up. Therefore, if you want to secure the wines, you have to pay that price.
This was also the case when the 2008 Salon Oenotheque cases were released a little over two years ago, and for this very reason, our recommendation was also for Salon's long-term potential.
The case was released, the hype faded after a while, and the overheated 2008 Salon market cooled down with decreasing prices as a result.
Today, the situation is different, and the quantities available are more limited than ever. As a result, those who made investments from the beginning have today achieved a modest return of 5.7%. This modest return must be seen in the context of the significant future potential, and the fact that, after a slightly turbulent entry into the market, the Oenotheque case now appears to be at the foot of the mountain.
Strong Double-Digit Returns On Salon
Salon has more or less guaranteed strong returns for the Champagne investor, and if you look at vintages that have been on the market a bit longer than the 2008 vintage, the potential is clear.
As described, the Oenotheque case also contains two bottles each of the 2004, 2006 and 2007 vintages. These three vintages have all returned 49-57 % from January 2019 to this date, which equates to an average annual return of 16.5-18.9 % with the greatest price increase in the oldest vintage.
This validates both the potential of the 2008 vintage, but also underlines the value of the Oenotheque case, where the investor gets both the 2008 vintage as well as an assortment of the three previous vintages.
RareWine Invest's Opinion
The superlatives are rightly still pressing in on us. This investment opportunity is unique and full of potential. The Oenotheque case contains Champagnes with extremely high scores. It includes the 2008 vintage, produced in only 8,000 bottles and with extremely high ratings. And the case has the status of a collector's item, which in itself offers attractive potential.
There is a reason why we constantly chase Salon for investment, because although returns cannot speak, they clearly tell us that Salon is worth investing in. Despite a tough start, 2008 has increased in value, and by all accounts, we are at the foot of the mountain. Returns on the 2004, 2006 and 2007 vintages indicate that Salon is surely climbing upwards.
This is an exclusive opportunity to acquire a genuine collector's item for both collectors and wine lovers. We strongly believe in Salon.
